Phil will be presenting on "Pillars and Trends in Economic Development", covering the critical drivers or "pillars" of sustainable economic development and recent trends gathered from the 2016 Site Selectors Guild Survey.

Schneider has 29 years of consulting experience primarily in the field of corporate location strategy, site selection, incentives negotiation, and economic development. Phil spent 7 years with PHH Fantus Consulting, followed by 18 years with Deloitte Consulting, of which the last 13 years were as a Partner. He created and led the Global Expansion Optimization (GEO) group, the corporate location strategy and site selection practice of Deloitte Consulting.

Phil is currently the President of Schneider Consulting LLC, in the greater Milwaukee area, providing strategic advisory services in the fields of location strategy and economic development. In addition, he is currently the Chairman of the Board/President for the Site Selectors Guild. Phil has led more than 350 location strategy and site selection engagements, with experience around the world, including numerous projects in China, Southeast Asia, India, Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America, South Africa, Turkey, and the Middle East. His work has cut across industries and corporate functions. He has also led numerous assignments for economic development and investment promotion agencies to help them form business attraction and retention strategies.
